Not all holidays will be New Zealand based. There are a lot of holidays that are world wide holiday events, plus, we might take a holiday or two from other cultures for diversity.
When a holiday creature is released, other creatures will be put on hold while they are released. The holiday creatures will be released over a 7 day period (unless previously stipulated). Three days prior to the holiday, the day of the holiday itself, and three days following the holiday.
If there has been a previous release for this holiday, then the previous releases will be released as rares during the holiday period, but the new holiday release will be the common. So there will still be a chance to grab previous holiday creature even if you were not around, or missed out during the previous year.
The zones will not be wiped clean for holiday events, but with the Zone Cleaner in action, there should always be room for the new creatures to appear ... remember to refresh alot, as the zones show you random creatures.
Following the event, the zones won't be wiped clean either, so if there is still a holiday creature hiding somewhere in a zone, then some lucky person might be able to snag it even if the holiday has been finished.
