What are the Home Zones

The Home Zones were an idea that was created to bring a bit of variety into the game, and to also create a bit of camaraderie and rivalry, all in the name of fun. But basically, it is picking a team to support and side with.


What are the Home Zones

Well, there are 7 Home Zones in total. Each with it's own Coat of Arms.

How do I choose a Home Zone

Well, technically, as soon as you register, you are in a Home Zone. Everyone starts out as an adventurer, after that, if you wish to go to another Home Zone, that is up to you. There is a fee for changing Home Zone, so be careful how many times you try to change your mind.


How much will it cost me to change Home Zone

The cost is 1000 experience to change Home Zone. This is only charged if the Home Zone you are leaving is not the Adventurers. If you are leaving the Adventurers for any other Home Zone, then there is no experience cost.


What are the various benefits for each Home Zone

There is no preferential of one Home Zone over another. You get exactly the same benefits in the Adventurers as you would in Vargoth. The only difference really comes down to how much random loves you and your Home Zone. There is a Daily Event that runs, and this determines the luck of a particular Home Zone on that day.


What is the Daily Event

The Daily Event is exactly what is says it is, an event that happens once are day that can either Reward or Punish a Home Zone and it's occupants.


What are the rewards/penalties of the Daily Event

At present the rewards are strictly experience, although this will change in the future. The experience that is gained is random. When the Daily Event is run, a random number between 5 and 100 is chosen. That number is how much experience is gained or lost. The event then has a 5% chance or being a negative event rather than a positive event. If the event is negative, then that random number between 5 and 100 is removed from the experience of all members of the Home Zone chosen.

However, if the event turns out to be a positive event (95% of the time), then the event will do another percentage check. There is a 5% chance that the Gods will grant favour and double the reward experience, otherwise it is just a standard experience gain of the previously determined number between 5 and 100.

The other reward that the future will bring, is a random chance that a creature will appear to those in the Home Zone chosen. Regardless of whether you have a spare slot for a creature or not, you will gain the creature if the creature is determined to be chosen. This feature has not yet been fully finished, and when it is finished, it will be a very rare chance that this will happen.


What are the creatures that will be available

The proposed creature are; Water Panther: (Adventurer), Tiamat Merpeople (Arantia), Fire Kitsune (Banador), Zu Gryphon (Maghera), Fenris Wolf (Ngavila), Ancient/Crumbling Sphinx (Vargoth), Gucumatz Serpent (Exile's Isle). This is not set in stone, and is subject to change, but it is what we currently have planned. They will be tradable, they will be abandonable, they will just be like any other regular creature, except the way in which they are caught.
