What is Sort Order
The sort option is how you would like to order your creatures in your album. If you select custom sort, a link will appear on your album for you to be able to select the order in which you would like them to appear. If you select the reverse sort option, this doesn't affect custom sort, but will affect the other sorts.
What are the different types of sort
At present there are 5 different sorts, with 4 of them being able to be reversed. They are; Stage (Stage 1, Ungendered, Gendered, Adult). Specie (Dragon, Faerie, etc), Breed (Black, White, Green, etc), Age (Youngest to Oldest), Custom (check your album to modify the sort order).
Stage Sort
This sorts your creatures by their Stage, so all Stage 1's will be together, all Stage 2's will be together, all Stage 3's will be together, and all Stage 4's will be together. This does not mean that they will also be sorted into their Species and Breeds as well, they will just be lumped together with their own Stage. Normal order of things will have it go from Stage 1 through to Stage 4.
If the reverse option is selected, then it will still lump all the same Stages together, but it will be in reverse order, so it will be Stage 4 through to Stage 1.
Specie Sort
This sorts your creatures by their Specie, so that all Dragons, will be together, all Faeries will be together and so on. This does not mean that they will also be sorted by their Breeds, nor will they be grouped by their Stage. ALL dragons will just be lumped together, and ALL faeries will just be lumped together. The Order for this is the order in which they appear in the database. So it will not be alphabetically.
The reverse sort of this just flips the weird sort backwards.
One small thing to note, the Species are usually added to the database as the specie is needed, so you can have a rough idea of when a creature was added to the game by this sort.
Breed Sort
This sorts your creature by their Breed, so that all Red creatures will be together, all Blue creatures will be together, all Ancient creatures will be together. This does not mean that they will also be sorted by their Species, not will they be grouped by their Stage. ALL Red creatures will be just lumped together, and ALL blue creatures will just be lumped together. The Order for this is the order in which they appear in the database. So it will not be alphabetically.

Age Sort
The Age sort puts the creatures in order of age calculated by when they were caught. So using this creature you should be able to judge which order you got your creatures by the order in which they line up. The regular order for this sort puts the creatures from youngest to oldest.
The reverse of this sort, puts the creature from oldest to youngest.
Custom Sort
This sort ability allows you to determin in which order you place your creatures on your album. By following the link on your album page, your creatures will be shown in their current order, and you can determine where they will appear by placing a number in the creatures corresponding box.
Please note that the more creatures you have, the longer this sort take to process.
Is one sort better than another
Sort has no benefit what-so-ever to the play of the game. The only benefit that the sort does have is that it makes things prettier by your standards, or uglier, or however you prefer it to be.
