Trades
The trading system allows you trade one creature from your album for a creature with another player on their album. The trading system has been designed to be as fair as possible. In doing so it was deemed that a 1 for 1 trade was the fairest way to trade creatures.
Some would argue that a rare creature is worth more than a common creature. And while this is technically true, it was also decided that value is dependant on the individual. If a person has no use for the extra rare they have, and someone has no use for the extra common that they have, but they both need or want what the other person has, then it really is fair to trade a common for a rare.
When you have successfully completed a trade, the creature you received, and the creature you gave will no longer be able to be abandoned. So you cannot just accept a trade and throw away the creature. Although other options are still available to you, such as Release, Freeze, and so forth.
Setting a Trade
When you are in the trades menu, click the link that says Set Trade, and then click the button that says Set to Trade that is next to the creature that you wish to trade. The trade will then be setup and will last 6 hours before it automatically unsets.
The reason that it automatically unsets is so that people don't forget their creature is set to traqde and that it dies. The creature cannot grow while it is set to trade.
How to let people know you have set a trade
In the Trades page, there is a link that tells you that it is for showing people your available trades. Give this link to people, and they can go to that age and then make you an offer. Although you can tell people what you want, you cannot control what they offer. But you can decide whether or not you wish to accept that offer.
Making an Offer
When you are viewing someone's Trader page, you can see what creatures they have set to trae, and you can make an offer on the creature. To do this, you just click on the Make Offer button which will bring up a list of your creatures that you can make an offer with, when you have decided what creature you would like to offer, click the Submit Offer button and the offer will be made.
How do you know if there is an offer waiting
In the game menu, the Trade link will change when you have an offer that you have not viewed yet. The change will be a number in brackets next to the word Trade. For example: Trade(3) would mean that there are 3 new offers that you have yet to view. When you go to the View Offers page you will give the unviewed offers a view, and that will remove the numbers from the menu.
How can I tell if one of my creatures is set to trade
There are two ways you can do this. You can hover over all the creatures in your album, if they are set to be traded, then there will be a message i nthe pop-up info box stating that it is IN TRADE. The other alternative is to go to your Manage Trades page, and you can see all the creatures you have set to trade there, and all the creatures you have made an offer with.
View Offers
This page is where you can view the offers made to your trades. You can either Accept the offer, or Decline the offer.
Accepting Offers
When you accept an offer, the creature was was offered becomes your creature, and the creature that you had set for trade becomes theirs. What also happens is that all other offers that were made to you are auto-declined, and had their In Trade status removed.
Declining Trades
When you decline that offer, that offer is removing from your View Offers page. The creature then has it's IN TRADE flag removed from it, and it becomes a regular creature on the original owner's album again.
Manage Trades
This page will tell you how many creatures you currently have in trade, and then will break it down into two sections, those you have set to trade, and those you are offering. From this page you can also remove the offer or the trade that you have setup.
Although you can remove an offer you have made from this page, if someone accepts your offer before you can remove the offer, then the trade will proceed, so be careful what you offer someone as a trade.
Cancelling a Trade
In the Manage Trades page, there is a Trading section. In that section, it will show you what you currently have set to trade, how long is remaining, and there is a button to Cancel Trade. To cancel the trade, just click the button, and it is done. If anyone has made an offer on that creature, then all the offers will be auto-declined, and will again be regular creatures on the original owners album.
Cancelling an Offer
If you have decided that you no longer wish to offer a certain creature up for a trade, then you can cancel the offer from the Manage Trades page. You will be able to see the creature that you have offered, and to cancel the offer it is as simple as clicking on the Cancel Offer button.
