Zone Creatures

The creatures that are released in a zone are randomly created. Each of the primary zones (not Exile Isle) has specific creatures assigned to it. On the hour, the zone determines how many creatures it needs to make, and then it randomly chooses a creature to create from the list that is assigned to it.

How many creatures does a Zone make

This in a way is random, but also quantifiable. For the 5 minutes prior to the hour; 55 minute, 56 minute, 57 minute, 58 minute, and 59 minute; the game takes a snap shot of how many people are currently viewing a particular zone. The game then has a variable percentage (that can be changed by the admins) that determines the number of creaturs to be made. For example, if 100 people were in Arantia, and the percentage was 25%, then 25 creatures would be randomly made for Arantia. If only 20 people where in Banador and the percentage was 25%, then only 5 creatures would be made for Banador. So the zones can have a different amount of creature made for them on the same hour.

If the percentage for the hour determines that less than 3 creatures will be made that hour, then a minimum of 3 creatures will be made regardless. Some creatures should always be released on the hour.

Unwanted Creatures in a Zone

Every once in a while, a zone will create creatures that are not desirable at that time. These creates can sit around and make it difficult to catch other creatures. Each Zone has a maximum capacity that can be modified by the admins, but allowing more creatures to be added while older ones sit there still clogs up the works.

Unwanted creatures have a timer for staying in a Zone. If the creature has not been collected in time, then the creature will be removed from the Zone and the code will be recycled for later use. This prevents the Zones from getting completely over-run, and allows for the fluctuating reference of the players to at least not have to be worried about collecting something they are not interested in collecting at that particular time.
